Born 1951-06-16. Initial membership in ACMG: 1985. B.Sc. in biology and geography from Trent University and Forest Technician Diploma from Sault College, Ontario. Eclectic interests. Formerly resident of upper Bow River Valley, Alberta for 20 years. Resident of Japan since 1998. I have extensive experience guiding both mechanized and ski-mountaineering, and general mountaineering, on and off trail hiking and nature interpretation.

Westerners like to conquer mountains;
Orientals like to contemplate them.
As for me, I like to taste mountains.
